Admin users are encouraged to review the responses received in Progress updates, and choose the status of the Deliverable, based on the evidence provided in the response. 


This is because reconciliation and social impact are new areas for many organisations, and there are a number of sensitive aspects which require a decision from the custodian(s) of these strategies, after all Reconciliation is about people. 


For this reason, we encourage users to start by understanding that the information provided in the response gives us enough information for us to decide if the Deliverable status has changed. Then, move to automate when and if, makes sense to you. 



How to activate this functionality:

  • Go to Admin > Subscription
  • In the Detail section set the Enable Deliverable status auto update toggle on (move it to the right as shown below)


  • Press the Save button to finish.



How to configure the auto updates in your Strategy

A Deliverable status can now be updated automatically, using the responses provided for Status Questions. 


Find the Deliverable that you would like to apply this, and follow the below steps:

  • Go to Design> Strategy (select your current strategy)
  • Go to the Action > Deliverable you wish to automate
  • In the Question setup, create a question using the Status Response Type
  • Toggle on Auto update Deliverable status

 




What happens when your Questions are responded?

When a Progress Update response is submitted for this status question, the Deliverable status will be updated to reflect the response provided.


The below status response, will update the status of the corresponding Deliverable




Based on the above response, the Deliverable status has been updated to reflect the status in the above Progress Update response

        



If the Question is to be responded by more than 1 Business Unit, the Deliverable status will be updated once all the Business Units have submitted their responses


In this case, the Deliverable status will be the highest status type in order (see Status Definitions below for order) from all the responses entered by your Business Units.
