We need to assign a different Business Unit to a Deliverable, from today onwards, without losing responses in past Progress Updates
Below is an example
The Deliverable was originally assigned to: Cultural safety and partnerships
I want to change it to be assigned to People & Culture, but I would like to keep the responses entered by Cultural safety and partnerships in the Feb 24 Progress Update
✅Here are the steps:
Open the deliverable
- Assign the new BU = People & Culture
- You’ll have both BUs assigned now (Cultural safety and partnerships, People & Culture)
Open the Exiting Question period, choose an end date before today (depending on the frequency you can choose the closes month in the past that you can select within the available)
In our example:
Start date = Feb24
Frequency Twice a year (every 6 months)
End date = The only date available before today is Feb -24 & I’ll have to select Once, since start & end date are the same
Exclude Business Units = Enter the new BU = People & Culture
- Add a new question period
same frequency as the one that you are closing, but from future months only
- On the above example we had Feb-24 to Dec-24, which means we can select from Aug-24 Once
Exclude Business Units = Enter the old BU = Cultural safety and partnerships
This is what it will look like after you’ve done the above.
So you see, is the same periods but we have:
the periods in the past for the old BU
the periods in the future for the new BU
