Business Units are set up and used to assign to Deliverables so you can coordinate related progress and touch points in weavr.


Multiple Business Units can be part of Groups. This allows an extra flexibility in to configure and visualise activities in weavr. These can reflect the Departments, Sites or other segments of your organisation.


Example

  • Group 1: 
    • WA Regional Sites
  • Business Units: 
    • Site 1, 
    • Site 2, 
    • Site 2


  • Group 2: 
    • Corporate
  • Business Units: 
    • HR, 
    • Procurement, 
    • Marketing

To set up this in weavr, go to Admin > Business Units



Click > + New Business Unit



Below is an overview of the fields you can define for your Business Units:

  • Business Unit Name: This field is used throughout weavr. This can be customised so it is meaningful to your Organisation.   


  • Group: This is an optional field, if you want to group multiple Business Units under a specific group


  • Location: This is an optional field, if your Business Unit has a fixed location that you would like to use in your reports


  • Officers: These are the members of this Business Unit that will be entering responses in the Business Unit Progress Update.

You can have multiple Officers. This means any of the nominated Officers can respond and submit the Progress Update. This has been useful for:

  • Business Units that have members with shared responsibility that can vary, examples are FIFO, roster, job share, or other similar. 
  • Users that might be needed as back up to a Business Unit Officers while they're away


  • Approval Levels: This defines the approval workflow that will be applied in the submission of Progress Updates for this Business Unit.
    • 0 = There is no Approval required, Officers in this Business Unit will respond to their Questions and Submit their Progress Update
    • 1 to 5 = There is Approval required, Officers in this Business Unit will respond to their Questions and Submit their Progress Update for Approval

You have up to 5 Levels of approval that can be used. You can add Multiple Approvers for each Level of approval required.
